Watlow FIREROD Cartridge Heaters are leaders in construction and design for industrial heating applications. Watlow continues to improve in construction and design for all sizes of their cartridge heaters. Their cartridge heaters with swaged construction includes high watt density and is capable of high operating temperatures up to 1400°F. Watlow heaters provide long life in applications with the following supported sizing (1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″). Additionally, all of Watlow FIREROD Cartridge Heaters contain resistance wire closer to the sheath and MgO insulations, limiting heat loss and maximizing heat transfer.
Swaged cartridge heaters, first introduced by Watlow, are built with nickel-chromium resistance wire to ensure even efficient distribution of heat to the sheath. As a result, contributing to prolonged heater life and lower energy consumption. Watlow offers a High Temperature (HT) FIREROD cartridge heater, designed for high temperature applications up to 1600°F.
