Description
To calibrate infrared pyrometers and thermal imaging systems accurately, it is necessary to have a source of IR radiance that is controlled, stable, and predictable with high emissivity. The Process Sensor’s series of blackbody calibration sources provide a target of known emissivity, temperature and aperture size. These blackbodies can also provide calibration traceability to certified laboratories and national standards. Other instruments which can benefit from a blackbody source include: FPA detectors, heat flux meters, spectroradiometers, and spectrophotometers.

The BBS1500i-40 calibration system combines the features of a precisely controlled temperature source with the calibration and adjustment task. It communicates with connected pyrometers and transmits and receives measurement data for manual or fully automatic tasks:
- Pyrometric readjustment of the BBS1500i-40
- Create calibration certificates
- Readjustment of pyrometers according to detected deviations via separately available software SensorCal3
